Aloha Paddlers, There has been a change in dates for the
race scheduled in April. Due to scheduling problems we will
be holding the race on the 11th of May (Mother's Day)
this year. We held this race two years ago on Mother's Day
and were quite successful. We plan to have all of the race
activities complete by 3 PM. As we only have 22 members on
our team at this time we need to know if you will be able to
take part in this event. If we do not have enough paddlers
we will not enter the race. See you at practice this Sunday.

BELMONT SHORE PADDLING
CLUB WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FOLLOWING RACES FOR 2008:
- LONG BEACH SPRING RACES, APRIL 27TH
- SAN PEDRO YOUTH RACES, JUNE
- LONG BEACH DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL, JULY 26 & 27
- GULF COAST REGATTA (HOUSTON), OCTOBER 18TH

We wanted to thank everyone who participated in our year end party on the
beach. The food was delicious. Hope your first day back in school goes well.

Aloha Paddlers, Do you have a friend who you think would like to be part of our
team? If your answer is yes then we have a special day for you. It will be
Sunday, April 1st at our regular time and location.
Any friend you bring must have a completed waiver
which is found on our
web site or they must bring their parent to sign the waiver at the
beach. After practice we will have pizza and juice. See you on the water.

The BSPC with the help of Thunder Dragons earned 60
community service hours. We picked up 15 bags of trash.
Also, thanks to LARD for the paddles and ending
practice early to offer to help with the clean up.
